How to Make the most Aromatic Chicken Broth?

Who doesn't like a good soup? Well to make a great soup you need a very aromatic base for it. If you want you can make it without any meat at all, just use all the vegetables that I recommend and you will get a wonderful VEGAN stock. I came up with this mix of things to add to broth by experimenting for many years as well watching many cooking shows and reading tons of cookbooks.


Ingredients:

Chicken (I usually use thighs or the entire chicken)

Carrots

Ginger

Lemon Peels

Bay Leaves

Celery

Onion

Parsnip

Leak

Parsley


Directions:

Combine these ingredients any way you want and simmer them for a long time. I usually discard all the veggies that were cooking with chicken because i hate when veggies become mushy. And then add any veggies to the the soup using the broth and the chicken meat as a base.


Tips:

Collect any scraps you get from other thins you cook and store them in a Ziploc bag in the freezer and when you need use them for the broth.
