MARINATED ASPARAGUS

Asparagus loved by many is presented in a new way in this recipe. This is an inspiration and you can improvise with it any way you like.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch or more of Asparagus

  • 4 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

  • a piece of Ginger

  • Lemon slices

  • Herbs (I used Dill)

  • Garlic (peeled and smashed)

  • Bay Leaf

  • 4 tablespoons of Salt

  • 3 tablespoons of Cane Sugar (or any other sweetener)

  • Warm Drinking Water (enough to cover Asparagus)

Directions:

  • Steam the asparagus to your liking (steamed for 3 minutes) and than run under cold water or place in ice bath.

  • While the asparagus is steaming and cooling make the marinade in a deep elongated dish (I used a casserole dish): combine warm water with Salt, Sugar, Apple Cider Vinegar, Garlic cloves, Lemon slices, Ginger, Herbs, and Bay Leaf.

  • Place the Asparagus in to the aromatic mixture.

  • Wait at least 5 hours better longer for the Asparagus to get fully marinated. Eat as a side dish. Enjoy!
